Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using our website or engaging our renovation services. By accessing zenzonerenovations.com or entering into a project agreement with Zen Zone Renovations (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or services.

1. Services

Zen Zone Renovations provides full-service residential and commercial renovation services in Brooklyn and Manhattan, New York, including but not limited to kitchen renovations, bathroom remodels, wellness and therapy space construction, full home build-outs, and commercial fit-outs. Specific services, timelines, and pricing are set forth in individual project agreements or proposals provided to each client.

2. Consultations & Estimates

Initial consultations are provided free of charge and are non-binding. Any written estimate or proposal provided by Zen Zone Renovations reflects our best assessment at the time of issuance and is subject to change based on final scope, material selections, site conditions, and permitting requirements. An estimate does not constitute a contract; a signed project agreement is required to commence work.

3. Project Agreements

All renovation work is governed by a separate written project agreement signed by both parties. The project agreement will specify:

Scope of work and inclusions/exclusions

Project timeline and milestone schedule

Total contract price and payment schedule

Change order procedures

Warranty terms

In the event of any conflict between these Terms and a signed project agreement, the project agreement shall govern.

4. Payment Terms

Payment schedules are outlined in each project agreement. Generally, a deposit is required to commence work, with subsequent payments tied to project milestones. All invoices are due within the timeframe specified in the agreement. Late payments may result in work stoppage and may accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by New York law.

5. Change Orders

Any changes to the agreed scope of work — including additions, substitutions, or reductions — must be documented in a written change order signed by both parties before work proceeds. Verbal authorizations for changes are not binding. Change orders may affect the project timeline and total contract price.

6. Permits & Approvals

Zen Zone Renovations, as a fully licensed NYC General Contractor (Lic #GC-626951), will manage the permitting process on your behalf where required. The client is responsible for providing timely access to the property and for securing any board or HOA approvals (e.g., co-op alteration agreements) unless otherwise agreed in writing. Delays caused by third-party approvals outside our control may affect project timelines and are not grounds for penalty.

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

Provide safe, reasonable access to the project site during agreed working hours

Make timely decisions regarding design, materials, and specifications to avoid project delays

Notify us promptly of any conditions at the property that may affect the work (e.g., known hazardous materials, structural issues, prior unpermitted work)

Make payments in accordance with the project agreement

8. Warranties

Zen Zone Renovations warrants that all work will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner, in accordance with applicable building codes and the project agreement. Warranty terms for specific work are outlined in the project agreement. This warranty does not cover:

Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications

Normal wear and tear

Pre-existing conditions or issues not caused by our work

Manufacturer defects in materials (which are governed by the manufacturer's warranty)

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zen Zone Renovations' total liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client under the applicable project agreement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.

10. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising from these Terms or any project agreement, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within thirty (30) days, the parties agree to submit the dispute to mediation in New York, NY before initiating formal legal proceedings. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York.

11. Intellectual Property

All design concepts, drawings, plans, photographs of completed work, and other creative materials produced by Zen Zone Renovations remain the intellectual property of Zen Zone Renovations unless expressly transferred in writing. We reserve the right to photograph completed projects and use such images for marketing purposes, including on our website and social media, unless the client opts out in writing.

12. Website Use

You agree to use zenzonerenovations.com only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You may not:

Use the site to transmit any harmful, unlawful, or fraudulent content

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems

Scrape, copy, or republish our website content without written permission

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the website will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with a new effective date. Your continued use of our site or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
